Netopia 3100

Netopia R3100 Routers include powerful business class features for high performance and reliability. The Netopia R3100 has an integrated 8-port Ethernet hub with an uplink port for connection to an existing hub. The router comes standard with ISDN dial-in so that remote offices or individual users can connect to a central LAN. Analog dial-in LAN access can be provided for remote users with an optional add-on kit. A built-in pre-configured IP firewall protects the LAN from unauthorized access, keeping confidential data safe. Advanced cost control features like "Scheduled Connections" and "Call Accounting" allow precision management of usage-based ISDN costs. Netopia takes 'plug-and-play' to a new level with advanced features that simplify router setup and management. The Netopia SmartStart Wizard automates router configuration, making the setup process as simple as clicking "next", "next", and "finished!" SmartIP, a combination of dynamic or static Network Address Translation (NAT) and an integrated Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, allows both the Netopia R3100 and LAN to be fully configured for Internet access to an ISP, or LAN-to-LAN connections, without even entering an IP address.
